This is the home page for the Digital Security for Tax Practitioners course in the Graduate Tax Program at the Villanova University School of Law. This course eamines the current state of Information Security and Privacy Law with a focus on Internet technologies. Students will examine statutary and case law outlining the current state of the legal process in dealing with these issues. In addition, the students will be introduced to Information Security technology, which has a direct impact on the status of the law. Furthermore, student will learn the planning process necessary 1) to facilitate an organized response to a critical security incident, through the study of incident response and policy, and 2) to create a structured environment for the proper exchange and interchange of information with in the privacy rights of the involved parties.

This website will have class materials (reading materials, resource links, and class slides) and streamed audio links of the class presentations, as well as links to current news resources for the relevent topics.
